I meant to post this yesterday, but life got a wee bit busy. So, it's now a Saturday picture post, and I'll post the usual inspirational quotes tomorrow.
The past couple weeks have been filled with so many adventures, fun, laugh out loud moments and work outings. As well as, a road trip to upstate NY to experience fall, jury duty, a 2nd Birthday, good eats, a surprise party to celebrate Jeter's last weekend as a Yankee, great friend time and more, all while feeling very fortunate to be where I am.
It is another beautiful weekend in the city, so, I'm taking full advantage of being outside for part of it, and then, taking in a little art and culture for the other half, which should be fun.

I headed on a mini road trip to explore Historic Smithville and the Village Greene in NJ, about 2 hours from Manhattan. Then, enjoyed a nice meal at The Smithville Inn, which has been there since 1787.
I grew up in NJ, and somehow was never aware of this gem of a town. It is one of the most charming little villages I've seen, and so full of history.
I had a wonderful time, and below are some pictures from the fun adventure.

Star Wars themed nutcrackers, my brother-in-law would love the Yoda, and cupcake ornaments, which reminded me of my best friend, Lena, at an adorable little Holiday shop...smelled like Christmas in July.
